Cobb Police said that a motorcyclist was killed early Saturday morning in a crash at Interstate 75 and Interstate 575.
Sgt. Eric Smith said that Casey Price, 26, of Cartersville, was pronounced dead on the scene after his motorcycle slammed into a parked tractor-trailer at around 3:23 a.m.
Smith said that Price’s gray 2024 Mazda CX-30 was traveling northbound in the right lane of I-75 when it left the gore separating I-75 and I-575 and crashed into a red 2022 Freightliner tractor belonging to Lee Roy Morris (60, Killeen, Texas).
Police said that Morris was not injured in the crash, and that Price’s next of kin has been notified.
Smith said the crash investigation continues, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Cobb County Police Department STEP Unit at (770) 499-3987.
