Some good news and bad news on the East Cobb prep football scene Friday, as the 2017 season got underway:
- Lassiter 45, Johns Creek 21;
- Marietta 52, Wheeler 0.
Two more East Cobb teams are in action today, at the Corky Kell Classic in Atlanta:
- Kell vs. Tucker, 9 a.m.;
- Walton vs. North Gwinnett, 8:45 p.m.
Pope and Sprayberry open their seasons next week.
