Cobb Police said Friday that one of their own was injured in a crash at Robinson Road and Old Canton roads in East Cobb.
Sgt. Eric Smith said that shortly after 2 p.m. Friday, a motor vehicle crash with a marked Cobb Police patrol car at the intersection.
Smith said the officer and “another involved driver” were both hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The individuals weren’t identified, and other details will be released after a preliminary investigation is completed, Smith said.
Traffic in the area was backed up for a few hours on Friday afternoon, according to some social media posts.
