The Rotary Club of East Cobb celebrated another successful Dog Days Run, bringing together hundreds of runners, community members, volunteers and local businesses to raise funds for organizations serving Cobb County and the surrounding community.
The 21st Annual Dog Days Run, held Saturday, August 8, welcomed approximately 608 runners and generated $77,550 in sponsorship contributions.

For more than two decades, the Dog Days Run has been one of the Rotary Club of East Cobb’s signature fundraising events. Since its early years, the race has grown significantly. In 2006, the event welcomed 202 runners and generated $13,100 in sponsorships. Twenty years later, the continued support of local businesses, runners and volunteers has helped make the race an enduring East Cobb tradition.
“The success of Dog Days is truly a community effort,” said Lori Anne Roberson, Rotary Club of East Cobb. “We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors, runners, volunteers and fellow Rotarians who continue to support this event. Every sponsorship and registration helps us give back to organizations doing important work right here in our community.”
Proceeds from the Dog Days Run support the Rotary Club of East Cobb’s charitable efforts and nonprofit organizations serving Cobb County and surrounding areas.
The Rotary Club extends its appreciation to the businesses and organizations that sponsored the 2026 race, as well as the runners, volunteers and community members who helped make this year’s event possible.
