Another periodic update on the reopening of the Woodlawn Square Chick-fil-A, since we do get inquries: The store is now accepting job applications, but the tentative reopening has slid back into mid-April.

That’s the word from a Chick-fil-A spokeswoman, who said a grand reopening date hasn’t been scheduled.

If you’re interested in applying, here’s the link to the online application process.

UPDATE: Woodlawn Square Chick-fil-A renovations wrapping up

Because we’ve gotten a few requests to find out, here’s the latest we have on the reopening of the Woodlawn Square Chick-fil-A after extensive renovations:

Spokeswoman Callie Bowers told us Friday that they’re aiming for the last week of March for a grand reopening date.

“Should know more in the next week or so, but the last week of March is what we have as of now,” she said.

As we’ve noted earlier, the original reopening was slated to be in November after the location closed in July.

Bowers didn’t explain the reasons for the delay, but there’s been a lot of rain since the fall, and that’s what’s been cited by county officials for the pushback in finishing Mabry Park.

Up until the last couple weeks, the parking area and drive through at the Chick-fil-A were still bogged in mud. Some of the pavement has been poured, but there’s still cleanup and setup indoors and striping and final touches outdoors to be done.
