In commemoration of Juneteenth, the Marietta History Center is proud to present a special Cemetery Walking Tour on Tuesday, June 17th @ 6pm at the Marietta City Cemetery. This event will honor the rich history and contributions of African Americans in our community, providing an insightful and reflective journey through the lives and stories of those who came before us.
Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, marks the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and the end of slavery in the United States. This walking tour will explore the lives of those who were enslaved and their descendants.

Admission: $7 for Members, $15 for Non-Members
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The tour will last approximately one (1) hour and there will be opportunities for questions and discussion throughout the event.
