A scam known as the Grandparent Scam has been reported in Cobb County. The Scammers are calling residents in Cobb County and reporting their grandchild has been involved in an automobile accident, hurt, or arrested. The Scammers will ask for you to withdraw cash from your bank account and meet with a courier to turn over the money.
If you receive a suspicious phone call, hang up and verify the safety of your family. DO NOT give cash to an unknown individual as cash cannot be tracked.
