Between now and right before the April 15 filing deadline, Cobb citizens can get free tax assistance at their public library branch.
The AARP once is again is providing the service, which is available at three libraries in East Cobb.
Every Monday through April 13, Tax Aide will be available at Gritters Library (880 Shaw Park Road) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Each Tuesday through April 14, you can go to the East Cobb Library (4880 Lower Roswell Road), between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
On Thursdays through April 9, the same service will be provided at the Mountain View Regional Library (3320 Sandy Plains Road) from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

IRS-traine
d tax counselors will provide the Tax-Aide service for low to moderate income taxpayers. The free, confidential service is available to everyone regardless of age and membership in AARP is not required. AARP Tax-Aide is sponsored by the IRS. Electronic filing will be available at all locations.
No appointments are necessary but arrive early to sign up. Space is limited. Tax-Aide officials request everyone plan ahead to be prepared for their Tax-Aide sessions.
