Cobb Elections seeking poll workers for general elections

With the Nov. 5 General Election approaching, poll worker training is in full swing at the Cobb County Elections and Registration office. An estimated 2,500 Poll Workers will help ensure a smooth Election Day.

The office still needs more dedicated individuals to step up and serve their community. Interested? Apply online today! Staff will provide all the training needed to help voters and ensure a fair process.

The deadline to register to vote in the General Election is Oct. 7. 

Here’s more on what Cobb Elections is looking for:

Qualifications

  • A Judicious, Intelligent and Upright citizen of the United States
  • At least 16 years of age
  • Can read, write, speak and understand the English language
  • A resident of Cobb County, employed by Cobb County or a resident of a neighboring county*
    • *A Poll Worker Employment Waiver must be completed and approved by the residing county, if you are a resident of the following counties Bartow, Cherokee, Douglas, Fulton & Paulding. (O.C.G.A. § 21-2-92(a)(2) )
    • Poll Worker Employment Waiver Adjoining County Form
  • No prior felony convictions for at least 10 years
  • Attend Mandatory Training
  • Reliable Transportation to and from training and election day
  • Not a candidate for office or an immediate relative of a candidate for office in the assigned poll
  • Not hold a public office
  • Ability to perform duties and functions of a poll worker
  • Able to satisfy I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification Requirements**
    • **Starting with the November 2024 election, an I-9 form must be completed and verified for any new Cobb County Elections poll worker prior to working their first election.
