A three-decade law enforcement veteran\, Chief Ferrell began his career with the department in 1996 as a patrol officer and steadily rose through the ranks. He previously served in roles that included patrol\, SWAT operations\, investigations\, and executive leadership before being named chief in October 2025. \nChief Ferrell credits the department with shaping both his life and his leadership style\, and he believes that strong connections with the community are key to keeping Cobb County safe. DESCRIPTION:The Civil War Roundtable of Cobb County (CWRTCC) will meet on Thursday\, April 2nd at the Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel & Conference Center located at 500 Powder Springs Street in Marietta. There will be a social gathering at 6:30 pm prior to the 7 pm meeting.  The speaker will be A.Wilson Greene who will discuss “A Campaign of Giants\, The Battle for Petersburg.” The meeting will be available on Zoom. Paid members will receive the link via email. \nThe CWRTCC meets the first Thursday of each month and serves as a membership organization available to the public.
